What my sites missing Graphicly

Ok judges, I'm asking you people of good design for graphics to help me with my site by telling me what you think is missing...

Rad, you helped make alot of the graphics on the site, so your more than welcome to tap in here ;D

Interocean has Orange, sortof white?, and multiple shades of grey.   

What do we need to balance our color scheme out?

Hi Dragon,

Try that star blue as a fixed background and see how that looks. IMHO there is to much solid blue, but thats again is MO.

Reaches in and grabs a chocolate chip cookie

IMHO ? MO?   O.O ?

*hands off cookie* thanks for the help.

We had a star background before when we were spatial publicity, right now we're all about the clouds and stars are voerused I'm told for backgrounds.

If we can get a cloud background made, I think there might be a problem with it copying over....

Where can we place a different color/ what color do you suggest, so that it doesnt look solid blue all over ? :o

As far as the cloud background, I googled "Cloud wallpaper" and found this one (among many)

If you do not like the moon, it can be photoshopped out. Also, you may need to work with it some to get it to fit your parameters, if you want to use it, but if you dont, I believe RadDesign (the guru master of graphics) may be able to have a good suggestion for you.

A nice (tileable) background of some clouds, a touch of warm color (dark yellow) and a little more focus on the Outer Forum Borders would brighten things up a bit. :)

It definitely looks good Rad, and thanks for the submissions guys. *hands out awesomeness cookies*

Wouldn't we need to make separate requests to get the outer forum borders like that, the background image, and even the cat and title bars need changing.?

Looks good Rad. I'll pass out from awe later :)

The yellow outer borders seems a tiny odd to me though, whatcha thinkin there ?   shouldnt it be black like the borders in the images ? Or even white ?

Also, those borders probably wont be seen often because were making the pages in a listing format for the content, that excludes the sub boards and posts.....   

You dont think that the background will look bad copied over then ?   Only saying because most seem to :(


huh, every time I look at the yellow border Im thinking its a golden yellow :o

Love the touch to the outer forum borders, fits better lighter apparently.


Gonna eventually have to change the blue for the posting buttons, or do you think we should just go for transparent buttons ? :o

Black and white are no "real" colors, so you're basically left with only the blue, which is kinda cold.
That's why I suggested to add a small amount of a warmer color. Anything from a dark yellow to a light orange will do just that.

I don't think so, as it is a seamless tile AND I used it in the above pic. :D

Yeah I suppose that makes sense. Though the yellow borders still wont be seen since most of our boards wont have the areas where theyd be......

Should I make a request for the outer forum borders so they match like in that image? :o
